SDH-042

Solar motion-activated animal repeller with ultrasound and strobe light

A stake-mounted outdoor repeller for gardens, yards and farms. When the infrared sensor sees movement it fires variable-frequency ultrasound; at night it adds a red warning light and a white LED strobe. The solar panel keeps the built-in battery topped up, so there is no wiring.

Overview

Wakes up when an animal walks in, sleeps when the yard is quiet.

SDH-042 stays in low-power standby until its infrared sensor detects movement within about 8 m and a 110° field of view. It then sends out 20–60 kHz variable-frequency ultrasound for 15 seconds and keeps repeating while the animal stays in range. A light sensor switches modes automatically: ultrasound only by day, ultrasound plus a red warning light and a white LED strobe at night.

Push the stake into the ground (or fix the bracket to a post) with the lens 0.5–1.5 m above the ground, facing the area to protect, and the solar panel facing the sun. Charge it in sunlight for about 4 hours before first use. For larger areas, set several units in a fan layout no more than 10 m apart.

Day and night

Two automatic modes, no switching needed.

Day

Ultrasound

Motion triggers 20–60 kHz variable-frequency ultrasound for 15 s, repeating until the animal leaves.

Night

Ultrasound + lights

Adds a red warning light and a white LED strobe (8000 K, about 200 lm) for a stronger deterrent after dark.

Solar

No wiring

5.5 V solar panel and 1200 mAh battery; about 7 days per full charge at 10 triggers a day.

Outdoor

IPX4

Splash-proof housing for gardens, yards, farms and orchards, from −10 to 50 °C.

FAQ

Questions buyers ask about SDH-042

Which animals is it for?

Outdoor animals such as deer, foxes, raccoons, skunks, coyotes, stray cats and dogs, birds and other small mammals in gardens, yards and farms.

Does it need sunlight every day?

About 4 hours of direct sun a day keeps it charged. A full battery lasts about 7 days at 10 triggers a day; in cold winter weather battery life can drop by 20–30%.

Can people hear it?

The ultrasound is above the hearing range of most adults, though some people notice slight irritation within about 1 m. Install it at least 5 m from living areas.

Is it safe for pets and plants?

It uses sound and light only, with no chemicals, traps or residue. Keep it away from areas where your own pets spend time, and do not look directly into the strobe.

How long until it works?

Give it 3–7 days of continuous use. Animals take some time to change their habits, and the effect builds gradually.

Which certifications does it have?

CE (EMC, EN IEC 55014-1/-2). Our establishment is registered with the U.S. EPA under Est. 97987-CHN-1.
