Why does the air purifier smell? How to clean?

1. Why is there a peculiar smell?

(1) The core components of the air purifier are the inner tank filter and activated carbon, which need to be replaced or cleaned after 3-5 months of normal use. If the filter element is not cleaned or replaced for a long time, the purifier will basically be ineffective, and even cause problems. Secondary pollution is worse than not using a purifier.

And because the filter element is blocked by dust, the air output is reduced, and the damage to the machine is also very serious.

(2) The cause of the peculiar smell is generally secondary pollution. The amount of dirt carried by the filter has exceeded the tolerance limit, so secondary pollution occurs.

If the air humidity is high, the filter screen may even become moldy, and microorganisms will grow in the filter screen and be blown into the room. This kind of harm cannot be ignored.

2. Cleaning the air purifier

(1) The pre-filter, usually at the air inlet, needs to be cleaned once a month.

(2) If it is only the ash layer, the ash layer can be sucked away with a vacuum cleaner. When moldy occurs, it can be rinsed with a high-pressure water gun or a soft brush.

(3) The water used for cleaning can be washed with detergent according to the ratio of 1 kg of detergent and 20 kg of water to clean, and the effect is better.

(4) After washing, it needs to be dried before being used again.
